FlaceDeals.com (“FlaceDeals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), owned and operated by Xiqper Inc., sells used / second-hand / pre-owned items.

This Used Item Condition / As-Is Policy explains how we describe item condition, what buyers should expect when purchasing used goods, and how “as-is” sales are handled.

By purchasing from FlaceDeals.com, you acknowledge and accept this policy together with our Terms & Conditions and Returns / Refund Policy.

1. Nature of Products Sold

FlaceDeals primarily sells used / second-hand items, which means products may show signs of prior ownership and use.

Unless a listing specifically states otherwise, buyers should expect that an item may have one or more of the following:

  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs, marks, dents, fading)
  • Minor signs of handling or storage
  • Missing original packaging
  • Missing manuals, accessories, or parts (unless listed as included)
  • Wear consistent with age and prior use

Used items are not the same as new items, and normal signs of prior use are expected.

2. Condition Grading (How We Describe Items)

To improve clarity, FlaceDeals may use condition grades in product listings. These grades are general guidelines and should always be read together with the product photos and full description.

A. Like New

  • Very minimal or no visible wear
  • Fully functional (unless otherwise stated)
  • May or may not include original packaging/accessories
  • Appears close to new condition

B. Excellent

  • Light signs of use
  • Fully functional (unless otherwise stated)
  • Clean overall appearance
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections may be present

C. Good

  • Visible signs of use (scratches, scuffs, wear marks, etc.)
  • Generally functional (unless otherwise stated)
  • Cosmetic wear does not usually affect core function
  • May have missing accessories/parts unless stated

D. Fair

  • Noticeable wear and/or heavier cosmetic imperfections
  • May still be functional, partially functional, or limited in function (see listing)
  • May have missing parts/accessories
  • Best for budget buyers who accept visible wear

E. For Parts / Repair

  • Not fully functional, not tested, or known to have defects
  • Sold for repair, parts harvesting, restoration, or non-functional use
  • Usually sold As-Is and Final Sale, unless required by law

Important: The written listing description and photos control over the grade label if there is any difference.

3. Functional Status Labels (Tested / Untested / Partially Tested)

In addition to condition grading, FlaceDeals may describe the item’s working status. Buyers must read this carefully before purchase.

A. Tested & Working

  • We have tested the item for basic functionality (or listed tested functions)
  • Item worked at the time of testing
  • Unless stated otherwise, this does not mean manufacturer-certified, refurbished, or guaranteed long-term performance

B. Partially Tested

  • Only certain features/functions were tested
  • Some features may be untested or unknown
  • Listing should state what was tested and what was not

C. Untested

  • Item was not tested
  • Functional condition is unknown
  • Buyer assumes the risk that the item may not work fully or at all

D. Not Working / Defective

  • Item is known to have one or more defects
  • Listing may identify known issues, but additional issues may exist
  • Usually sold As-Is and often Final Sale

4. What “As-Is” Means

When a listing is marked “As-Is”, it means the item is sold in its current condition at the time of sale, with all disclosed and potentially undisclosed wear, defects, or limitations, except where prohibited by law.

By purchasing an As-Is item, you understand and agree that:

  • The item may have cosmetic or functional issues
  • The item may not include all accessories or original packaging
  • The item may require cleaning, setup, maintenance, repair, or replacement parts
  • Returns/refunds may be limited or unavailable (see Returns / Refund Policy), except where required by applicable law

As-Is does not cancel your legal rights where consumer protection law applies.

5. Product Photos Are Part of the Description

We make reasonable efforts to show accurate product photos. Product images are an important part of the listing and should be reviewed carefully.

Please note:

  • Screen settings (phone/computer brightness, color settings) may affect appearance
  • Minor cosmetic details may appear different in person
  • Some small imperfections may not be fully visible in photos
  • Included items/accessories are only what is shown and/or stated in the listing

If an accessory, part, charger, cable, remote, manual, or box is not clearly shown or listed, do not assume it is included.

6. Accessories, Parts, and Packaging

Unless specifically stated in the product listing, used items may be sold:

  • Without original packaging
  • Without manuals
  • Without accessories
  • Without extra parts or attachments

The listing description and product photos determine what is included.

Examples of accessories that may be missing unless listed:

  • Chargers / power adapters
  • Cables
  • Remote controls
  • Batteries
  • Mounting hardware
  • Manuals
  • Cases / covers
  • Original box / inserts

7. Cosmetic vs Functional Condition

An item may be:

  • Cosmetically worn but fully functional, or
  • Cosmetically clean but functionally limited

Buyers must review both:

  1. The condition grade (appearance/overall condition), and
  2. The functional status (tested/untested/working/defective)

Normal cosmetic wear on used items is not necessarily a defect and may not qualify for return if disclosed or visible in listing photos.

8. No Manufacturer Warranty Unless Stated

Unless expressly stated in a product listing, invoice, or separate written policy:

  • Used items sold on FlaceDeals do not come with a manufacturer warranty
  • FlaceDeals does not guarantee manufacturer support, registration, or warranty transferability
  • Any remaining manufacturer warranty (if any) is not guaranteed to be transferable

If a listing mentions warranty information, that information applies only to that specific listing.

9. FlaceDeals Limited Inspection / Testing Disclaimer

Where we indicate that an item is tested, our testing is generally limited to the functions specifically checked before listing.

This may include basic power-on or functional testing only. It may not include:

  • Long-duration performance testing
  • Stress testing
  • Full diagnostics
  • Internal inspection
  • Compatibility testing with all systems/accessories
  • Future reliability guarantees

Used items can fail over time due to age, prior use, shipping impact, or normal wear.

10. Buyer Responsibility Before Purchase

Before purchasing a used item from FlaceDeals, buyers are responsible for reviewing:

  • Product title
  • Full description
  • Condition grade (if provided)
  • Functional status (tested/untested/etc.)
  • Product photos
  • Included/excluded accessories
  • Any “As-Is” or “Final Sale” notice

11. Returns / Refunds for Used and As-Is Items

Return/refund eligibility for used items is governed by our Returns / Refund Policy.

In general:

  • Used items with normal wear consistent with the listing are not returnable for cosmetic expectations
  • As-Is, Untested, Defective, or For Parts / Repair items may be Final Sale
  • Returns may be considered where an item is significantly different from the listing description, damaged in transit, or where the wrong item was sent

12. Listing Errors and Human Error

We strive to describe used items accurately, but occasional errors or omissions may occur.

If we discover a major listing error before shipment (for example, incorrect price or incorrect item details), we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund.

If you believe a listing materially misdescribed an item you received, contact us promptly under the timeline stated in our Returns / Refund Policy.

13. Condition Disputes

If you believe an item’s condition was materially misrepresented, please contact us at info@flacedeals.com within the timeframe stated in our Returns / Refund Policy and provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos/videos of the item received
  • Photos of packaging (if transit damage is involved)

We will review the issue and determine an appropriate resolution (if any), which may include a return, refund, partial refund, replacement (if available), or denial where the condition matches the listing.

14. No Guarantee of Future Performance

Used items are pre-owned and may have reduced lifespan compared to new products.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, FlaceDeals does not guarantee:

  • Future durability
  • Remaining lifespan
  • Compatibility with your specific setup/use case
  • Performance beyond the condition and testing status described in the listing at the time of sale

15. Consumer Rights

This policy does not limit any mandatory rights or remedies you may have under applicable laws in Canada or Ontario that cannot be excluded by law.

Where this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection rights, your legal rights apply.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Used Item Condition / As-Is Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, product categories, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the Last Updated date at the top of this page, and
  • Post the revised policy on FlaceDeals.com

The version in effect at the time of purchase will generally apply to that purchase, unless otherwise required by law.
