FlaceDeals.com (“FlaceDeals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), owned and operated by Xiqper Inc., sells used / second-hand items. Because our products are pre-owned and may vary in condition, this Returns / Refund Policy explains when returns, refunds, and exchanges are accepted and how they are handled.

By purchasing from FlaceDeals.com, you agree to this Returns / Refund Policy, along with our Terms & Conditions.

1. General Policy Overview

Because we sell used / second-hand items, not all items are eligible for return or refund.

Return/refund eligibility depends on:

  • The product category
  • The condition and description of the item
  • Whether the listing was marked Final Sale or As-Is
  • Whether the item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from the listing description

We aim to be fair and transparent and encourage customers to review product descriptions, photos, and condition notes carefully before purchase.

2. Return Eligibility (When Returns May Be Accepted)

A return request may be accepted if:

  • The item arrives damaged in transit
  • The wrong item was shipped
  • The item is significantly different from the listing description or photos
  • The item has a major functional issue that was not disclosed in the listing (if sold as tested/working)

To be eligible for a return, you must:

  • Contact us within the return window (see Section 3)
  • Provide your order number
  • Provide a clear explanation of the issue
  • Provide photos/videos where requested (including packaging if damaged in transit)
  • Return the item in the same condition received (unless damaged on arrival)

3. Return Window

You must request a return by email within 48 hours of delivery for:

  • Wrong item received
  • Damage in transit
  • Item not as described
  • Undisclosed major defect (where applicable)

For other return requests (if approved at our discretion), you must contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery.

No returns will be accepted after these periods unless required by applicable law.

4. Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

Unless required by law, the following items are generally non-returnable and may be marked Final Sale or As-Is:

  • Items clearly marked “Final Sale”
  • Items clearly marked “As-Is”
  • Items sold for parts / repair
  • Items listed as untested
  • Items with disclosed defects that match the listing description
  • Clearance / liquidation items (if marked final sale)
  • Personal-use / hygiene-sensitive items (if applicable and opened/used)

If a product listing states Final Sale or As-Is, please assume it is not eligible for return, refund, or exchange except where required by law.

5. “As-Is” and Used Item Condition Notice

FlaceDeals sells pre-owned items. Normal signs of use may include:

  • Cosmetic scratches, marks, scuffs, fading, or wear
  • Missing original packaging
  • Missing accessories unless specifically listed as included

These normal used-item characteristics are not considered defects if they are disclosed or visible in listing photos.

Please review all product photos and descriptions before purchasing.

6. Wrong Item, Damaged on Arrival, or Item Not as Described

If you receive:

  • The wrong item
  • An item damaged during shipping
  • An item significantly different from the listing

please email info@flacedeals.com within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos of:
    • The item received
    • Packaging and shipping label (for transit damage)
    • Any damage/defect/problem area

We may offer one of the following remedies, depending on the situation:

  • Full refund
  • Partial refund
  • Replacement (only if available)
  • Store credit (if agreed)

The remedy offered will depend on product availability, condition, evidence provided, and the nature of the issue.

7. Return Authorization Required (Do Not Send Items Back Without Approval)

Do not return any item without contacting us first and receiving return instructions.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to sender at the customer’s expense.

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on where and how to return the item.

8. Return Shipping Costs

If the return is due to our error or an approved issue

If we shipped the wrong item, or the item arrived damaged / significantly not as described, we may:

  • Provide a prepaid return label, or
  • Reimburse reasonable return shipping costs (with proof of payment), at our discretion

If the return is approved for another reason (discretionary)

If we approve a return for reasons other than our error, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges (if any) are generally non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error or required by law.

9. Condition of Returned Items

To qualify for a refund (where a return is approved), the returned item must be:

  • Returned in substantially the same condition as received
  • Complete with included accessories/parts (if applicable)
  • Properly packaged for return shipping

We reserve the right to reduce or deny a refund if a returned item is:

  • Damaged after delivery due to misuse, improper handling, or poor repackaging
  • Missing parts/accessories that were included
  • Returned in a materially different condition than when shipped

10. Refunds (Processing and Timelines)

Once we receive and inspect an approved return, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, refunds are typically issued to the original payment method.

Refund timeline

  • Inspection/decision: usually within 3–5 business days of receiving the returned item
  • Refund processing: timing depends on your payment provider/bank (often 5–10 business days after processing)

Please note that payment processor and bank timelines are outside our control.

11. Partial Refunds

In some cases, we may offer a partial refund instead of a full refund, including where:

  • The item has a minor undisclosed issue but remains usable
  • You prefer to keep the item and accept compensation
  • The issue does not justify a full return/refund

Any partial refund arrangement will be communicated clearly and must be agreed upon before processing.

12. Exchanges

Because many items sold on FlaceDeals are unique used items with limited quantity (often one unit), exchanges are generally not available.

If an exchange is offered, it will only be for:

  • The same item (if another unit is available), or
  • A mutually agreed alternative

Most approved issues will be resolved through a refund or partial refund.

13. Order Cancellations (Before Shipment)

If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately at info@flacedeals.com.

  • If the order has not shipped, we may be able to cancel it and issue a refund.
  • If the order has already shipped, the order may no longer be cancellable and will be handled under this Returns / Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to cancel orders due to product unavailability, pricing/listing errors, suspected fraud, or payment issues. If we cancel after payment is processed, a refund will be issued.

14. Refused Deliveries / Undeliverable Packages

If a package is returned to us because:

  • The shipping address was incorrect/incomplete
  • Delivery was refused
  • The package was unclaimed

we may deduct shipping and return shipping costs (and any carrier fees) from your refund, unless the issue was our error.

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

15. Chargebacks and Disputes

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us first at info@flacedeals.com so we can try to resolve it quickly and fairly.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and may require submission of order records, delivery confirmation, and listing details to the payment processor.

16. Consumer Rights

This Returns / Refund Policy does not limit any rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in Canada or Ontario that cannot be excluded by law.

Where this policy conflicts with mandatory legal rights, your legal rights will apply.

17. Changes to This Returns / Refund Policy

We may update this Returns / Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, product categories, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the Last Updated date at the top of this page, and
  • Post the revised policy on FlaceDeals.com

The version in effect at the time of purchase will generally apply to that purchase, unless otherwise required by law.
